10TH ANNUAL SOUTHEASTERN INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY JOB FAIR® (SIPJF) [JULY 29, 2014 FROM 8 A.M. – 5 P.M.]

The Southeastern Intellectual Property Job Fair® is the largest IP job fair in the region.  Organized by the Career Services Office and the Georgia State University College of Law’s Intellectual Property Advisory Board, it is made possible by student volunteers, alumni and staff.

The job fair spans across all industries and types of organizations and encompasses all areas of intellectual property, including litigation, transactional work and prosecution.  PaTech, the Patent Agent-Technical Advisers Program, returns this year for employers seeking patent agents and technical advisers.

Schedule:

  • 8:15 a.m.: Welcome session
  • 8:50 a.m.: Employers are in designated rooms; Candidates should be waiting outside interview rooms
    • Note: Each interview period is 20 minutes, and a 5-minute warning will be given.  If you plan to compile notes, leave time in the 20-minute window to do so.

Registration deadline: APRIL 30, 2014 – MAY 21, 2014

  • May 23, 2014 – June 5, 2014: Paid students from registered schools may upload resumes on Symplicity for SIPJF & PaTech employers
  • June 30, 2014: Interview selections available for students
  • July 7, 2014: Deadline for candidates to accept/decline interviews; hotel reservations close
  • July 15, 2014: Interview schedules are available for download

10TH ANNUAL HEARTLAND DIVERSITY LEGAL JOB FAIR (HDLJF) [AUGUST 1-2, 2014]

Students who are interested in becoming part of Kansas City’s dynamic legal community should strongly consider attending this event.  Students who will be returning to school in August and those graduating in May are eligible to attend the job fair, as employers will be interviewing for both summer and post-graduate positions.

The HDLJF is the result of Kansas City’s leading law firms, legal associations, and corporate legal departments coming together to encourage law students to practice law in Kansas City.  The HDLJF is designed to expose law students of diverse backgrounds to both traditional and non-traditional legal employers.  In addition, the event is a great way to learn more about living in this wonderful city.
