Who: Students currently attending an accredited law school, who is either a member of an ethnic, racial, or other minority OR demonstrates the commitment to issues of diversity within their academic career

LADAH LAW FIRM, PLLC INJURY SCHOLARSHIP [DEADLINE: MAY 31, 2015]

Who: Applicant must be attending Law School in 2015. Applicant will have successfully completed at least one semester of law school but will not yet have graduated by fall semester of 2015.

  • Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0

Award: A one-time award worth $2,000 to be awarded the fall semester of 2015

Requirements: This scholarship will be judged and awarded on merit and need. Applicants will be required to demonstrate:

  1. How an injury you or someone close to you experienced has impacted your
  2. How your experience with an injury or an accident has contributed to your desire & motivation to become an attorney.
  3. Personal commitment to working with, helping or caring for those affected by injuries and accidents?

These personal injuries or accidents can be from (but not limited to) car accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip & falls, dangerous property or work conditions, etc. To be considered, the injuries sustained should not be self-inflicted or by injured person’s own fault.

2016 BAKER DONELSON DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP [DEADLINE: JUNE 19, 2015]

Baker Donelson is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where the individual differences among us are understood, respected, appreciated, and recognized as sources of strength of the Firm. These qualities enrich the environment in which we work.

Who: Baker Donelson will award 3 scholarships to diverse law students who will complete their first year of law school by June 2015

Award: Recipients will be awarded a 6-week, salaried 2L Summer Associate position for the summer of 2016 in one of our Firm’s offices. Additionally, each recipient will be awarded $10,000, which will be paid prior to the student’s third year of law school to help defray the cost of law school tuition and related expenses.

THE THEODORE TANNENWALD JR. FOUNDATION FOR EXCELLENCE IN TAX SCHOLARSHIP [DEADLINE: JULY 1, 2015 BY 9 P.M. EDT]

Sponsored by the Theodore Tannenwald, Jr. Foundation for Excellence in Tax Scholarship and The American College of Tax Counsel. Named for the late Tax Court Judge Theodore Tannenwald, Jr., and designed to perpetuate his dedication to legal scholarship of the highest quality.

Who: Open to all full- or part-time law students

Award: Cash prizes of $5,000, $2,500 and $1,500 for the top three papers
