LSRJ – REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM [DEADLINE: DEC. 1, 2015]

Law Students for Reproductive Justice (LSRJ) is accepting applications for their Reproductive Justice Fellowship Program. They are thrilled to share that they have expanded the program to the states this year, with two pilot placements (one in Pittsburgh, PA and one in Seattle, WA).

Who: Seeking passionate, insightful 3Ls and recent graduates who have not only demonstrated a commitment to social justice, but who bring with them a variety of lived experiences and backgrounds that will guide their work advocating for reproductive rights and justice for all. Students need not be intimately familiar with the reproductive justice framework; past successful applicants have held deep knowledge and experience with LGBTQ rights, immigrant rights, transgender rights, racial justice, economic justice, and the like.

Where: Washington, D.C., Pittsburgh, PA, and Seatttle, WA

When: A 1-year policy-based fellowship to begin August 2016

SCHOLARSHIP update:

HOWELL & CHRISTMAS, LLC VISIONARY SCHOLARSHIP [DEADLINE: NOV. 30, 2015]

Eligibility: Either a current law student at an accredited law school within the United States or at an accredited undergraduate university planning to attend law school

Career planning networking EVENT UPDATE:

T.J. REDDICK BAR ASSOCIATION – NETWORKING, RESUME BUILDING, AND INTERVIEWING TIPS FOR ATTORNEYS [NOV. 19, 2015]

Purpose: The purpose of the CLE is to provide new and experienced attorneys with information to assist in legal networking, resume building, and interviewing for legal jobs in the public and private sectors. Legal professionals from corporate and private practice will participate in the CLE. Additionally, a head hunter will provide practical tips and information regarding the legal sector and job market. The speakers will discuss the importance of pro bono services as well as involvement in the community and the profession through voluntary bar organizations and other community service organizations. The speakers will also discuss networking, resume building, working with head hunters, non-legal jobs for lawyers, and salary expectations and trends in South Florida.

When: 6 P.M.

Cost:

  • Members: The CLE is free for due paying T.J. Reddick Bar Association members, law students, and judges
