PRE-OCI ARMY JAG INFORMATION SESSION [SEPT. 12, 2016]

For those of you preparing for/considering OCI with the Army JAG, the Ovadia CP&P Office strongly encourages you to attend an informational session on life in the JAG Corps. and JAG careers presented by three Army JAGs (one of whom is conducting the OCI!).

Speakers:

  1. Brigadier General Ural Glanville, Chief Judge of the U.S. Army Court of Criminal Appeals
  2. Lieutenant Colonel Paulette Burton, Judge, U.S. Army Court of Criminal Appeals and the U.S. Court of Military Commission Review
  3. Captain Matthew Bernstein, Appellate Defense Counsel (FIU Law graduate)

Who: Professor Carpenter has opened up this session during his Military Justice class to all interested students.

INTA: 70TH ANNIVERSARY LANHAM ACT CELEBRATION [SEPT. 14, 2016]

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Global Intellectual Property Center, the International Trademark Association (INTA), the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO), the American Intellectual Property Association (AIPLA), and the American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property Law (ABA-IPL) will host a reception to bring together policy professionals, distinguished law practitioners and business leaders, congressional staff, and supporters to mark the year-long trademark education and awareness effort associated with the 70th anniversary of the Lanham Act (U.S. trademark legislation). This event has been organized to meet the requirements for a widely attended event as set forth in the Congressional ethics rules.

2016 SOUTHEAST SOUND: MUSIC LAW CONFERENCE – PURPLE LAW: SESSIONS INSPIRED BY PRINCE [SEPT. 24, 2016]
