Virtual Public Interest & Government Law Resource Fair

Who: FIU Law students only
What: A career fair featuring some of the most popular summer and post graduate employers in the public sector
Why:
- 1Ls – this is a great way to meet employers you may want to consider for this summer or some other time in your law school careers
- 2Ls, 3Ls, 4Ls & LLMs – looking for CLIs, places to get pro bono hours, or possible post-graduate positions? You never know who you might meet or what opportunities you might learn about!
How: Sign up now! See detailed instructions below
- To register: Log into Symplicity Symplicity – FIU Law and on left menu at home page click Events > Career Fairs.
- Once you click on the event, a video tour of how the day will function will pop up – we strongly encourage you to watch this – it is very short, and very informative!
- This video is also available for you to watch @ Symplicity left menu Resources > Document Library: “Quick Tour of Symplicity’s Virtual Career Fairs for Students”
- Once you have clicked on the event link, all you need to do is click “Attend” to register!
- Next to the “Attend” button is your “Chat Profile” – you can click that to make any edits as to what the employers will be able to see – please note, however, we do not use the photo feature in our system, so that is one detail you will not be able to add.
- Next to the “Chat Profile” button is an “(i)” button – you can click that for Help & Information and how you can reach support if needed on the day of the event.
- When you click on “Employers” you can see who has registered – continue to check for additional registrations up until day-of.
- Some employers will be hosting one-on-one meetings, and others will be hosting group chats. On the day of the event those who are doing one-on-ones, you will then see a “Join Queue” button. Those who are hosting group chats – that information will be visible when you register. The representative information will also become visible day-of. The video tour will give you a great visual of what to expect day-of!
