BRESSMAN LAW TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY SCHOLARSHIP [DEADLINE: JANUARY 31, 2015]

To serve as a community outreach throughout the United States to students persevering despite the effects of severe head trauma, Bressman Law of Cleveland, Ohio has created a scholarship designed to heighten public awareness of the challenges American youth face following traumatic brain injuries. They have created this scholarship to acknowledge the difficulties faced by those with severe head trauma and to reward those that have persevered and are seeking a college education and this scholarship will lend financial hope for a bright future to one deserving U.S. student.

Who: Open to law school students

Award: $1,000 (award recipient will be notified of selection on or about February 28th)

Requirements:

Submission components: (1) Scholarship Application Form, (2) 1-3 page typed essay about your struggle with a traumatic brain injury, how you received the injury, how your life has changed since, the issues you’ve encountered and how you’ve overcome them, (3) official copy of undergraduate college transcripts for all schools attended, (4) documentation of your diagnosis from a qualified medical professional, and (5) proof of legal residency in the U.S.

F. MALCOLM CUNNINGHAM SR. BAR ASSOCIATION – BAR PREPARATION SCHOLARSHIP [DEADLINE: JANUARY 31, 2015]

The F. Malcolm Cunningham, Sr. Bar Association (the “Association”) is seeking applicants for its bar preparation scholarships. The Association provides scholarships to offset bar examination preparation expenses for economically disadvantaged black third-year law students who demonstrate a commitment to excellence. The awards will be presented at the 13th Annual William M. Holland Scholarship Luncheon that will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015, in Palm Beach, Florida.

Who: 3L black law students who are scheduled to take the Florida Bar Examination in February 2015 or July 2015 and who are scheduled to graduate during 2015

Award: The Association will award at least 3 $1,500 scholarships to eligible students

Requirements: Your application must be received by email in a single PDF document with the subject line of the email being “scholarship application attached”

Submission components: (1) Application, (2) personal statement (less than 250 words), (3) resume, (4) transcript, and (5) declaration of financial need
