U.S. SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION (SEC): SUMMER 2015 STUDENT HONORS PROGRAM (LEGAL) [DEADLINE: OCTOBER 13, 2014 BY 11:59 P.M. ET]
The SEC is seeking bright, innovative, results-oriented individuals for its 2015 Summer Honors Program in the Washington, DC Home Office and our 11 Regional Offices. They offer law students robust responsibilities and experiences that enhance their legal careers. Over the course of the ten-week program, students work with Commission staff on projects particular to the specific Division or Office to which they are assigned. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in seminars/workshops, roundtable discussions, a mentoring program, and tours that will provide detailed information and guidance on securities laws.
Who: 2Ls and 3Ls (*3Ls graduating in May 2015 are NOT eligible to participate)
Where: Miami, FL; Washington, DC; Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; Denver, CO
When: 10 weeks
Requirements:
GPA: 3.0 or higher preferred

2015-2017 HANNA S. COHN EQUAL JUSTICE FELLOWSHIP [DEADLINE: OCTOBER 15, 2014]
Applications are currently being accepted for the Hanna S. Cohn Equal Justice Fellowship, an exciting two year public interest fellowship opportunity.
The Fellow will be placed at the Empire Justice Center, a statewide, multi‐issue, multi‐strategy non‐profit law firm focused on changing the “systems” within which poor and low income families live. The Fellow will work with advocates in Empire Justice Center’s Rochester, New York office representing low‐income clients in complex areas of litigation and other types of advocacy.
The Fellowship is being funded in memory of Hanna S. Cohn, a remarkable attorney who began her 25‐year career in poverty law as a public interest fellow. Hanna was the Executive Director of Volunteer Legal Services Project (VLSP), a pro bono program that, because of Hanna’s leadership, is recognized as one of the best of its kind in the country.
