LSV TEACHING ASSISTANTS [DEADLINE: JULY 16, 2014]

The LSV program welcomes applications for teaching assistants for LSV I and LSV II for the coming academic year.  As you may recall, teaching assistants work directly with the LSV professors and perform various responsibilities, including attending LSV classes, mentoring students, holding office hours, presiding over practice oral arguments, and preparing background memoranda on LSV legal simulation problems.  This position IS compensated.  The LSV program encourages all interested students to apply.

Who: 2Ls, 3Ls, and 4Ls

To be eligible, you must have completed both LSV I and LSV II before the semester that you will serve as a TA

When: Anticipated that TAs will work an average of 15 hours per week

Application Materials: (1) *Cover letter, (2) resume, (3) transcript (unofficial is fine), and (4) writing sample

*In your cover letter or in a separate document, please include the following information:

  • Why you want to be a TA
  • Which professors you had for LSV I and LSV II (and LSV III, if applicable, but you do NOT need to have had LSV III in order to serve as a TA)
  • Whether you prefer to work with daytime classes, evening classes, or you have no preference
  • Whether you are applying for Fall 2014 LSVI I, Fall 2014 LSV II, Spring 2015 LSV II, you have no preference among classes, and/or that you would like to be considered for any or all classes
