2020 ACCESS TO JUSTICE TECH FELLOWS PROGRAM [PRIORITY DEADLINE: MAR. 13, 2020 AT 5 P.M. PST]

The ATJ Tech Fellows Program is a truly unique experiential learning opportunity for law students to gain new skills and receive hands-on experience, while addressing critical challenges affecting our civil justice system. Fellows begin the summer by taking a deep dive into issues affecting the civil justice system, while learning various applied methods around the use of technology, data, design thinking to improve legal services delivery. This is followed by a 10-week paid internship placement at one of our many participating host employers nationwide where they’ll work on a range of innovative projects and initiatives, aimed to more effectively meet the legal needs of low-income Americans. Fellows will also have access to a robust network of legal innovators and participate in a host of immersive activities throughout the summer experience. Participating Fellows will receive a $5,000 stipend for their service commitment.

Who: 1L (rising 2L) or 2L (rising 3L) students who have a strong desire to advance issues of social justice in communities and better ensure equal access to justice for all. Successful candidates will bring an entrepreneurial approach to recognizing needs, solving problems, anticipating issues, and developing solutions. ATJ Tech Fellows welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and experiences. Previous experience or in-depth knowledge of legal technology is not required to be successful in the program.
