The National LGBT Bar Association’s annual Lavender Law® Career Fair is designed to achieve a sense of community and inclusion for LGBTQ+ candidates within the legal profession’s recruiting efforts. By participating in this career fair, candidates will talk directly to LGBTQ+ friendly recruiters from law firms, government agencies, LGBTQ+ rights groups, and corporate legal departments.

WRITING COMPETITION update:

ABA TORT TRIAL & INSURANCE PRACTICE SECTION – AVIATION & SPACE LAW COMMITTEE LAW STUDENT WRITING COMPETITION [DEADLINE: SEPT. 9, 2020]

Topic: Law students interested in practicing aviation or space law should submit papers addressing a recent development in Aviation or Space law or discuss an area of aviation or space law where a controversy or disagreement exist

Awards: $500

  • Sponsorship to attend the 2021 Aviation & Space Law Annual CLE Seminar in Washington D.C. on Oct. 28-29 (registration fee waived & travel expenses reimbursed up to $1,500)
  • Publication of the winning paper in the Aviation & Space Law Committee’s Newsletter

Submission guidelines: Papers prepared for classes, journals, or for other purposes or publications are welcome! Papers should be in the style of a scholarly newsletter article and no more than 20 pages double-spaced, 12-point Book Antiqua font, with footnotes and citations conforming to Bluebook standards. NEW DATE/VIRTUAL: AIPLA TRADE SECRET LAW SUMMIT [AUG. 12 – SEPT. 2, 2020]
