The School District of St. Lucie County’s (“School District”) Legal Department has a summer internship opportunity for a law student who has finished their first year of law school. The intern will be paid $10.00 per hour or a total of approximately $1,500 for the 6-week internship (subject to grant approval).

The intern will typically work on one or two major projects and will also be given simple questions to review as they arise on a daily basis and an opportunity to shadow the two attorneys in the office by attending meetings, both public and internal, and assisting with hearing preparations (and attending hearings if any are scheduled during the time the intern is in the office).

When: 25-30 hours per week, for 5-6 weeks, for a total of 150 hours, sometime between June 12 and August 11, 2017, depending upon the student’s schedule and preference
