RURAL SUMMER LEGAL CORPS [DEADLINE: TOMORROW FEB. 17, 2017]
The Rural Summer Legal Corps program is in its second year and is jointly administered by the Legal Services Corporation and Equal Justice Works. The Rural Summer Legal Corps program connects public interest law students with civil legal aid organizations to address pressing legal issues facing rural communities. 30 Fellowship opportunities are available nationwide to provide critical legal services to rural communities in the areas of housing, domestic violence, public benefits, migrant farm workers, Native American, and family law.
Selected students will receive a $5,000 stipend and begin the summer with intensive training from poverty law experts in Washington, DC before deploying to their host site for a placement.

LEGAL AID IN SOUTH FLORIDA – SUMMER 2017 INTERNSHIP [DEADLINE: MAR. 1, 2017]
The mission of these programs is to provide high-quality free civil legal advice, representation and education to the disadvantaged of Broward County. Service areas include, but are not limited to, housing, children’s, consumer, immigration, public benefits, family, tax, senior citizens, domestic violence, homeless, veterans law, and special projects, including major litigation and education/employment.
The internship recipients would provide assistance to benefit the low-income community in Broward County. Possible tasks include client interviews, drafting pleadings and memoranda, and legal research. Internship applicants can be first, second or third year law students. Although the internship is unpaid, applicants are encouraged to research any fellowship opportunities through their law school to possibly fund the internship.
Legal Aid will interview selected candidates and make a final decision by Mar. 15, 2017. If it is not possible to be physically present at the interview, we will arrange for an interview by Skype or other similar means. The internship recipients can begin working as early as May 1, 2017, depending on their availability.

THE LOYOLA PATENT LAW INTERVIEW PROGRAM [AUG. 3-4, 2017] [STUDENT REGISTRATION: FEB. 6 – MAR. 10, 2017]
The Loyola Patent Law Interview Program is a two-day interview program held in Chicago each summer that brings together patent law employers and law students from across the country to interview for summer associate positions and post-graduate employment. Each year roughly 1,500 law students register for the program, submit their resumes, and bid on interviews with the nation-wide employers that interest them. The program is entirely employer selected – which means that participating employers review the resumes submitted to them and choose the law students they are interested in interviewing at the program. Roughly half of the students registered for the program are selected for interviews each year.
*Please note: Students do not need to be patent bar eligible to register for the Patent Law Interview Program. However, many employers make patent bar eligibility a requirement for bidding, and most employers prefer patent bar eligible students. Although a number of employers indicate on their registration forms that they are willing to interview students who are not patent bar eligible, it is our experience that non-patent bar eligible students are generally disappointed as they do not receive many interviews or job offers through the Patent Law Interview Program.

- JD students graduating in May/June 2018
- JD students graduating in May/June 2019
- JD students graduating in December 2017/January 2018
- JD students graduating in December 2018/January 2019
