INTA – ANTICOUNTERFITTING RESOURCES: RECORDATION TOOLS FOR BRAND OWNERS WEBCAST [SEPT. 16, 2016]

inta_webcast-recordationtools

Electronic customs recordation is an invaluable tool for protection against counterfeiting. INTA believes these electronic systems are a basic necessity for all customs officials to be able to easily identify counterfeit goods. Trademark rights and brand owner contact information is uploaded to an online database where enforcement officials can easily access that data and use it to help identify counterfeit goods and protect their borders against counterfeiters. This webcast will demonstrate two electronic anticounterfeiting platforms available to brand owners and show you how to get your brand information to the most officials possible:

  • WCO’s Interface Public-Members (IPM); and
  • EUIPO’s Enforcement Database (EDB)

Moderator: Maysa Razavi, International Trademark Association (United States)

Speakers:

  • Blanca Arteche, European Union Intellectual Property Office (Spain)
  • Bob Peeters, World Customs Organization (Belgium)
