RESEARCH ASSISTANT (2 PAID POSITIONS) FOR PROFESSOR FINGERHUT [DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 13, 2015]
Who: All law students are eligible to apply
POSITION 1:
- Updating a Florida criminal law and procedure practice guide for LexisNexis
- Updating a Florida DUI practice guide for LexisNexis
This project will entail going through the manuscript and (a) checking for updated Florida case law and relevant federal law; (b) making sure case law already cited in the work is still good law; and (c) drafting the updates.
POSITION 2:
- Archiving the personal papers, including client files, of a legendary criminal defense attorney, leading to a memoir or trial advocacy text
For this project, we will carefully go through the contents of each box and create a detailed inventory.
Requirements: Applicants must be hard-working, pleasant in spirit and able to research and write well. An interest in criminal law is preferred but not essential. A thirst for criminal defense (for the archiving project in particular) is a bonus.
